Karamjit Singh founded Digital News Asia (DNA) with a vision to become the most credible tech media in Southeast Asia.
The tech news site went live on 14 May 2012. In November 2014 it raised RM 1 million to fuel its Singapore and Jakarta expansion.
Besides the portal, Karamjit also shares his opinions about Malaysian digital economy news on YouTube via a weekly show, NADI Digital Economy Malaysia with his colleague, Dzof Azmi.
In the past he has covered tech news on the radio waves via BFM from May 2012 to Feb 2019, on TV from April 2015 to Aug 2016 on Bloomberg TV Malaysia and on LinkedIn via a live stream show called, Friday Tech Talk.
He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism minor in Business from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.
He is married with two boys, aged 18 and 15. His favourite word is “chakadey”.
Prior to launching DNA Karamjit was with The Edge, Malaysia’s premier business publication, which he joined in 1995 and spent 12 years as its tech editor.
